Hundreds of persons mostly women, children and old men from Benue State, have taken refuge at Gawa village of Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State.
This is following the invasion of their village, Gbishe in Katsina-Ala local government of the state by by Joint Tax-force involving the Army, Police and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp) in the early hours of Saturday.
The invasion is part of the manhunt for former militia leader, Terwase Akwaza also known as Ghana who has been accused of being responsible for the death of Mr Denen Igbana, Benue State Governor’s aide on Security.
