Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, criticized the former administrations over the negligence to an important capital project like construction of federal roads. Goodluck Jonathan's aide, has now given him a perfect response.
Dr. Doyin Okupe, who is a former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to the immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan, on Sunday, described the recent statement credited to vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, that no new road has been built by federal government in the last ten years as "a lie and an absolute falsehood."
The vice president who spoke at the pastors and leaders retreat of the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, Lagos, stated; "The federal government in the past 10 years could not build a single new road, not repairing existing ones alone. Now we have a president who will not steal money and who will not allow anybody to steal money."
While expressing regrets that the statement was made in a church, Okupe, took to his Facebook page and said that the church has a role to play in politics, and that Osinbajo was wrong in his assertion.
