Senator David Mark, who cast his vote at about 10:20am, at the VIP GRA
Oturkpo ward 1 has expressed confidence that he will win the ongoing
rerun election in Benue South senatorial district. Accompanied by his
wife Helen and General Tunde Ogbeha (retd), Mark condemned electoral
violence and called on supporters to stay peaceful.vHe challenged the
Independent Electoral Commission of Nigeria to ensure that the
election is free and fair and declare only the genuine winner.
Mark polled 150 votes against 37 votes of Daniel
Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress, APC in
the VIP 1, Otukpo Club, Township ward. In the nearby polling unit, VIP
II, Mark also won by 97 to 19 votes.
