Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko met with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed-doors at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday. The governor arrived the president's office at about 11.00am looking troubled.
It was gathered that Mimiko visited the Presidential Villa in respect of the Thursday's declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission that Jimoh Ibrahim is the candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ondo governorship election.
INEC had removed the name of Mimiko's candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, from the list of candidates of the political parties that would participate in the November 26 governorship election. His name was replaced with that of businessman Jimoh Ibrahim.
