As the rainy season heightens, the Taraba Road Construction and Maintenance Agency, TARCMA, has embarked on the rehabilitation of various roads in the State.
The ongoing projects are the construction and opening of drainages and culverts to enable free flow of water.
TARCMA had recently focused on road Rehabilitation across the State capital, which include; the construction of a three seat culvert in Nassarawo, construction of over 325 meter drainage from Donga road to Hammaruwa way and desalting of drainages and culverts along Barde way among others.
Speaking on what informed the ongoing projects, the Managing Director, TARCMA, Mr. Daniel Akalia explained that the agency is vested with the responsibility of constructing and maintaining roads in the State, hence the need for the ongoing projects, to ensure free flow of water to avoid flooding.
The Managing Director added that as part of State Government efforts to improve infrastructural development, the agency will ensure that all the major roads across the State capital are properly fixed.
He further assured the public of TARCMA’s commitment in roads maintenance and called for the support and cooperation of the public to ensure effective service delivery from the agency.
