Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has again secured a N10 billion loan facility from the Federal Government for critical infrastructure.
The Governor disclosed this yesterday at a thanksgiving service at St John Baptist Quasi Parish, Gbise, in Katsina-Ala local government area.
He said the money which hit the state government’s accounts at the weekend would be judiciously used to complete critical projects in the state.
This puts the total amount of debts under 9 months of Ortom’s administration at N53.62 billion; N10 billion for salaries, medical school accreditation and take-off of government, 28.12 billion bailout funds for payment of salary arrears, N5.5 billion for counterpart funding and now N10 billion for critical infrastructure.
